LOST WORLD OF TAMBUN

This happened a month ago but I had no time to update my blog. So here it is.. Our journey to the Lost World of Tambun....

We started of as early as 7.30 am from Kl . Arul drove the car and the passengers were me, Nanda and Mahesh. We reached lost world at around 10 something. Excitedly we snap a few photos at the entrance :) :)

Then heading to the registration counter, I gave our online booking coupon and we were given the tag to enter.... Nanda and I were terrified as it was mentioned there that only swimming suit is allowed inside.. We didn't bring any.. Oh My.... but we were allowed to enter... :) :) Went to changing room and changed .... they prepare locker to put our bags and things.. quite expensive as a locker costs Rm10 but it is better than Desa waterpark.. In Desa, you can't use it repeatedly. Once u open the locker , you have to buy new coin to get another locker. Here you can set a password for your locker c=and can use it the whole day. You can open it as many times as you want.

and now we are ready to play.... with the entrance fee of Rm 40/person we got the entrance for all the parks namely :

• Amusement park
• Water park
• Lost world Petting zoo
• lost world Tin valley
• Lost world Tiger valley
• Lost world Hot Spring and Spa

We started off with amusement park "Giddy Galleon". It looked normal at first but once we start .. there it goes.. swing and swing till we giddy... hahah... But it was a lot of funnnnn.... Then we tried Dragon Flight .. The bys tried storm ride and Lupe's adventure but Nanda and I were not that adventurous.

Moved on to water park. We had fun playing in the water with waves.

My most terrifying experience was with the "Cliff Racer"... It looks okey at first. I tried something like this at Desa but this is totally different. A real adrenaline packed ride!!!! I almost died.... I thought I will flew off the coaster.it takes you straight down the coaster at maximum speed and then it takes you up like you're going to shoot up to the jungle canopy... fuhhhhhhhh... I couldn't breathe....

Rested for a while and we went to Tiger feeding show.. There were 2 obedient malayan Tigers..

Then to the petting Zoo and Tin valley.. This was amazing .We managed to extract some Tin using the 'Dulang Washing method"

we walked through the history walk reading about Tin mining in Perak and etc.

 The best thing that I enjoyed most in Lost world is the Hot Spring & Spa... It was soooo nice and soothing...The architecture and design of the pools were really good...

They have 

• Crystal pool
• Infinity pool
• Top of the world pool
• The geyser of Tambun
• Lost world steam cave
• Foot spa and
• Saphira's Lair

We didnt manage to snap any pic as we were enjoying the spa.... some photos at the Saphira's lair ...

Once we are done with spa actually I wish to have  more time in here but Arul is working on Sunday so we have to leave to KL. we took bath changed ourselves and had a nice masala tea.... Then the search for chinese seafood restaurant begins.. hahah... we had a good dinner and started our  journey back to KL....

My perception about life ... and about me

 Hi...

So many things going around and people are not thinking deep enough before investing money on something.. hmmm...So I wish to express myself here. The reason for me to think 100 times before spending on something and the reason for me to be as humble as possible.....

• Basically I am a very low profile and down to earth person.for me whatever we have here on earth are just a gift from God and it is not permanent . He can take it away from me at any time.So i have to be grateful for whatever he blesses me with .

• I don't get jealous of peoples belongings as I know I choose how I live and God knows whats the best for us. 

• I like to save for future 

• I am more of a giver. I will buy things for people without focusing on the price but if it is for myself I will think 1001 times before buying it.

• I don't like unwanted entertainment, I don't spend so much on clothes or make up.i always address to my needs and not to the worlds desire... and I am happy that i grew up like this. 

• I don't like to be arrogant and show off whatever I have.

• I am not influenced by the current need for gadgets. It is better for me to have money in the bank rather than buying a gadget and borrow money from people for my use. hahahahah... and some people does that and they are so proud of it.... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

• If people tell me about their trip/ their fancy stuffs I'm not bothered at all... I don't feel the urgency to have it if I really don't need it.

• People thinks that if ur single u have a lot of money to spent but the truth is I am the type who gives money every month to my family, save for my wedding/ future and invest on insurance and do some charity .. So at the end of the day I will only have a limited amount to spend on myself.

• If I'm given a choice to buy my dream car

     or to save for my future house

 I'l choose the later. Spending soo much money unnecessarily on a car at this age and with my current salary is a total waste. After all investing in any type of car is NEGATIVE COMPOUNDING!! I will never buy cars because they are fancy or because it is imported brand but solely for domestic use.

• If I really need to buy my own car it wont be more than 20-25% of my monthly income.

• If I plan to get married I have to have enough money to run a family post marriage and also for other uses like 'the possibility of getting pregnant, health issues and etc.

• I am happy that God gave me a partner who thinks like me and who likes to save rather than being a spender. :)

INTERNATIONAL BUFFET AT TAMAN SARI BRAISSSERIE, HOTEL ISTANA

             Last Friday (30th may) was my boyfriend's birthday.. After thinking of where to bring him for almost 1 month, I decided to buy a buffet dinner voucher from Groupon. It was an International buffet dinner at Hotel Istana,KL.  

            Hotel Istana is situated at the heart of KL. At first I was wondering how to bring him there as it suppose to be a surprise treat for him, but I ruin my surprise as he saw the voucher in my phone gallery..... Hmmmmmm... No more surprise.... I told him to act as if he is surprised when I bring him there on 30th and he agreed. hahhahaha.. We decided to use public transport as we r going there after work and we don't want to get caught in the jam. I googled the nearest ktm/monorail station and I found out that the nearest is Raja Chulan monorail Station. We parked our car at Tun Sambanthan and took the Monorail . It was raining and I was quite worried if we could walk to the Hotel (whether it will be a walking distance) and to my surprise the hotel is just 2 minutes walk from Raja Chulan Monorail... aaaahhhhhhh.....

I was really excited... We was greeted by a sweet tall Malay lady as we enter the hotel. We straight walked to Taman Sari... 

I went to hotel Istana before for a conference so I know how it would look like... But it was a lunch buffet and now its a dinner buffet.... as we enter we could see sooo many desserts... yummmyyy.... I just love desserts and cake.... and followed by a wide range of food... The waitress brought us to our table, and we r set to gooooooooooo.... Arul started with his first plate... hahaha... the variety was good for me... We were both satisfied and Arul event said that they should reduce the variety so that we can taste all ...

                          My portion. I didn't take rice/paste for first round... took smoked and grilled duck..grilled duck tastes better...

The second round I took all deserts... cakes and jelly.. I was too excited to eat  and forgot to snap any pic... :(

We went to the BBQ booth outside. I choose chicken, prawn,sausages and Arul added squids... but we were not satisfied with the BBQ.. It seriously does't taste good....

Then back to our next round of food....I took Nasi Briyani and  grilled chicken with rendang and some other sauce.. Arul took grilled lamb and some other food.. Being a briyani lover i realllyyyyy love the taste.. It was really good...

The desserts.... choc dip.. Surprisingly Arul loved it soo much ..

We was really full by now. so we decided to take rest and start chit chatting... I really admire the group of aunties beside us.. They really can eat well.. Really suitable for a buffet... and definitely they enjoyed the food... I was a little greedy ... I wanted to eat more even though I'm FULLL... There was ais kacang which you can customize on your own... sad.. couldn't eat that as I was too full and Arul advised me to stop eating.. hahahah...

Last but not least, Ice cream.. I was unaware of it all this while until Arul told me there was Ice cream beside Ais kacang booth...I Immediately stood up and went to customize my own Ice cream... There were a  lot of toppings... I took 3 scoops of ice cream with nuts,oreo and chocolate syrup... Managed to manipulate Arul to get his own too.. heheh... 

Finally I'm done..I wish I had a big stomach.. haha.. I'm too full and started having stomach ache and nausea... Who can resist the food in a buffet rite? I couldn't even walk properly to the Monorail station but somehow I managed to... 

              In a nutshell, It was a good buffet indeed.. There were a lot of variety in the food.The BBQ could have been better... and i wish they have more desserts and a little bit more of Western food. 

             Overall it definitely worth the money... yummyy... Wish to go again in future... :) :) Even though I decided not to go for buffet when I had stomach ache that day.. hahaha.... 

Thanks  Hotel Istana and thanks to Groupon... He really enjoyed the treat... :)
